M365 and Workspace cutovers · Backup MX safety net · Operating since 2014

Tenant Migration.
Cutover weekend without the lost mail.

Mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, rebrands, consolidations. Sooner or later, an email tenant has to move. Microsoft 365 to Microsoft 365. Google Workspace to Microsoft 365. Two tenants becoming one, or one becoming two. The big migration vendors quote six figures and timelines measured in quarters. The DIY path is a skeleton crew working overnight, hoping nothing drops.

Tenant Migration is the middle path. A real expert team that has actually run cutovers without losing messages, working at your tier, with Backup MX absorbing the propagation window so mail does not bounce while DNS settles.

Why this product exists

Built because customers asked for a real cutover team at a real price

Tenant Migration began the way most DuoCircle products do. A customer asked. They had an M365 tenant cutover coming up, the brand-name migration vendors were quoting numbers that did not pencil out for their organization, and the alternative was an overnight DIY weekend with no safety net. They asked if we would help.

We said yes. We did the cutover. We used Backup MX as the buffer so no inbound message bounced while the MX record propagated. We documented the runbook. The next customer asked for the same thing, and the one after that, and the product wrote itself.

Tenant Migration sits inside the broader Route portfolio alongside Backup MX and Email Forwarding. The same routing engine powers all three. When a cutover requires forwarding to bridge the legacy address space to the new tenant, that path is already there.

What it does

What is in the box

Mailbox content migration, MX cutover with Backup MX absorbing the propagation window, domain and alias preservation, pre-flight planning before anyone touches DNS, and one team accountable end to end.

Mailbox content migration

Mail, contacts, calendar items, and folder structures move from source tenant to target. Microsoft 365 to Microsoft 365, Google Workspace to Microsoft 365, or the reverse direction. Permission and folder hierarchies preserved so the new tenant feels like the old one on day one.

Backup MX as the cutover safety net

DNS propagation does not happen instantly. While the MX record cuts over, our Backup MX queues every inbound message and replays it to the new tenant once the cutover lands. No bounces, no lost messages, no overnight panic when a customer claims they sent an order on Saturday.

Domain and alias preservation

Every route that worked at the source keeps working at the target. Aliases, distribution lists, shared mailboxes, catch-all rules. The migration team verifies the routing map before cutover, so nothing important resolves to a black hole on Monday morning.

Pre-flight planning, not cutover-night surprises

Before anyone touches DNS we review the source tenant, the target tenant, and the cutover plan. Authentication records, MX hierarchy, third-party senders, the things that quietly break when you forget them. The plan is written down before the weekend, not improvised during it.

One team, no vendor handoffs

If you also run Outbound SMTP, Phishing Protection, or DMARC Report with us, the migration team coordinates with the rest of your stack natively. The people running the cutover are the same people who run the products that depend on it. Cutover-week escalation goes to one inbox.

Sized for the middle of the market

Built for the organizations that fall between the six-figure enterprise migration quote and the skeleton-crew DIY cutover. Mid-market and SMB tenants moving for a merger, a divestiture, a rebrand, or a path off legacy infrastructure. Real engineering at a tier that fits the budget.

Who this is for

The audience

  • IT teams running Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace that need to move one tenant to another and cannot afford bounced or dropped mail during the transition
  • Acquiring organizations absorbing another company's email and needing tenant consolidation with continuity guarantees
  • Mid-market and SMB organizations for whom a six-figure enterprise quote is unrealistic but DIY risk is unacceptable
  • Organizations on a path off legacy environments (on-premise Exchange, hybrid setups, older collaboration suites) into M365 or Workspace
  • Operations teams who want one team accountable for the cutover, the safety net, and the products that run on the new tenant
When to look elsewhere

We are not the right answer if

You need a full collaboration suite cutover. Calendars, drives, Teams or Spaces channels, SharePoint, deep collaboration history. Tenant Migration handles the mail-side cutover cleanly, but the full collaboration cutover is a specialist function and we will tell you so during the pre-flight call.

You need full change-management consulting wrapped around the cutover. Project management offices, formal training rollouts, executive change-comms. The big enterprise migration vendors bundle that. We do the engineering side cleanly; the change-management wrap is not what we sell.

Your cutover is a single mailbox or a handful of users on a personal domain. The pre-flight planning, runbook, and Backup MX safety net are sized for organizational cutovers. For a one-off mailbox move, the platform-native import tools may be all you need.

What you get when you call

An expert on the call, not an SDR working from a script

When you contact us about a tenant migration, the person on the call is the kind of expert who has actually run cutovers without losing mail. We tell you the timeline, the risks, the safety net, what we will and will not do, and whether your situation is a fit before any contract gets drafted.

Reference calls with existing Tenant Migration customers are available on request. Most enterprise customers will not allow public logo use, but they will take a phone call from a serious prospect to vouch for what we actually deliver in production.
