DuoCircle and the CIS CyberMarket
DuoCircle was an email-protection vendor in the Center for Internet Security (CIS) CyberMarket collaborative purchasing program. The program supported U.S. State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial (SLTT) government entities by aggregating purchasing power across smaller agencies that couldn’t negotiate enterprise vendor terms on their own. CIS vetted the suppliers; member agencies got access to vetted cybersecurity products at group-buying prices.
DuoCircle was selected for the email-protection slot. We served SLTT agencies through the program for several years.
Past tense, on purpose
The CIS CyberMarket program is being wound down externally due to changes in federal funding for the parent program. We mention it here because the partnership was a meaningful credibility marker, and the SLTT customers we supported through it were the kind of organizations the standard enterprise vendors didn’t take seriously: small budgets, real cybersecurity exposure, no patience for procurement gauntlets.
In other words, the SLTT engagement gap was the same engagement gap DuoCircle was founded to address. We just got there through CIS for a while.
SLTT customers, still served
Although the program itself is winding down, SLTT government agencies remain a real customer segment for us. The path is now direct rather than through the CyberMarket framework: the same DuoCircle products, the same engineering-led engagement, the same 24/7 SLA. No procurement gauntlet, no NDA wall.
